THE RIGHT TO BE WRONG

  I think the ability to be a bad person is a sign of progress.  I have an example for you. I am going to use gay men and women as examples, but this applies to everyone. If a woman sexually assaults someone, the immediate reaction is, “I can’t believe a woman would do something like that.” Thinking women are not capable of doing horrible things is sexist. Just because someone may belong to a historically underserved group does not mean they can’t do bad things.

 With any controversial issue, people get defensive, and it becomes difficult to make progress. Change happens in the grey. When people get extreme, there is more of a fight.

Why we can't make change.

 If you are representing a movement, look at how you act. Are you "practicing what you preach"? Do not be an asshole and give the movement a bad name. Be kind and respectful.
